Ok so time for a quick update, recently purchased a full FMIC kit off of ebay

I hate to get your hopes up but that is replica greddy valve. The performance industry has come a long way since those types of valves so I would recommend a synapse for the best drivability.

Yeah I know its a fake Greddy got it a long time ago and figured that would still be better then my crushed 1g bov that im running cause at least it will be adjustable.

Did you see the install of the same kit and the way to keep the bumper support. Look it up on here, should be lying somewhere.

My bumper support is long gone, was running a Volvo FMIC years back on this car before it got put away and forgotten about.

Its a greddy knockoff. Poor pipe routing. Small core. You'd be better off with a god speed core and custom pipes.

I agree on the synapse Ive got the diverter valve myself.

I hope you tossed the junk t bolt clamps that came with that kit. I put the same kit on my old 2nd gen and had to replace every one of the clamps it came with.

Id like to see a picture of the comp wheel on that turbo also.

That valve will not perform as well as your 1g. The type S itself was a poor performing valve so I can't imagine a replica performing better

After breaking 2 of clamps while tightening them, I ended up using the old clamps that I had from my old setup and havent had any problems now and been running this setup for a about a month and havent blown one pipe. They I/C piping was all flanged at the ends and I had a whole assortment of clamps and parts to make everything fit nice.

Ya its pretty close to the Greddy, the top piping is alittle different. The Greddy runs across the front of the top of the I/C.
Did you have to eliminate the bumber?

I had a short route on my Volvo setup, (if u guys wanted something to hate on I wish I could find pics of that from back in the day) and I ended up bottoming out and hitting the left I/C piping all the time and popping it off. I'm sure there are proper kits that dont have this problem but for what im going for this will be just fine. There isnt too many tuners up here where I live and I get compliments on my nice radiator all the time.

I got out of the Air Force in 2006 and left the car down there. Finally shipped it up to Wisconsin this summer and it is what it is now.

there is a short route kit on ebay that looks alot like the vrsf kit. the only difference it seems it the pipe that comes from the turbo outlet. instead of using a reducer coupler, they reduce the pipe and widen it after the turn. I have the vrsf kit on my car and love it. had it on there for 4 months or so, and no problems with it.

His kit is a copy of the Apexi kit, not the GReddy kit.

It's the exact same thing that PR sells, the only difference is that the mounting bar is not included but I mounted mine directly to the crash bar or you can make your own bar. It came with the knockoff Type S BOV also that I have lying around somewhere. You can also request to get the couplers in black instead of blue like I did.
