So I got a srp MBC, found out that it just doesnt really work.. Springs bad I dunno, not worried about it.
But the other day while I was putting the stock boost controller back in I broke the nipple off the stock bcs... so.
what i did (see attachment) was connect the nipple from under the turbo to the actuator tee'd off just like how it comes stock with 1 vac line running straight to the place on the injen intake where you normally would put the vac hose comming off the stock bcs, so I dont have it connected through the stock bcs nor through the srp mbc. just one straight shot other then the tee'd off section.
I tested it out because I was frustrated before I could only boost 11psi, so when O did this its hitting 14psi pretty constant. I havent seen any bad effects to this yet, but I can never be to sure. so I was wondering if this is bad in any way?
Since ive done this i have noticed that my greddy type s bov seems to go off very softly even before my boost gauge tells me im hitting any psi is that normal? I thought you had to be boosting some bit for it to blow off?
So im not sure what thats about, but im pretty sure it never went off before I did this. comments please?

A simpler approach would be to connect a single vacuum line between your turbo housing and the wastegate actuator and cap-off the port on your intake pipe. However, this will revert you back to stock boost pressure, but should be perfectly safe until you fix your MBC. The way you currently have everything connected, some of the boost pressure that your turbo is generating is being bled-off back to your intake. This is fine as far as the airflow sensor is concerned, but may be working your turbo a bit more than is necessary. Not sure about your BOV issue.

Yea what he said^.:thumb:

The BOV is working completely normal. Adjust it harder if you don't want it to open like that. Mine is set full soft (as all recircs. should be on these cars) and is constantly open on deceleration (makes that eeeeeeet noise) and opens during shifts at anything over 10in/hg (no blow off sound but the valve operation is very audible). More is better, it won't hurt anything and it assures that it will open when it really needs to as well.

Thank you.
Ya I dont really want to go back to stock psi...
Going from 11psi-14psi is just crazy, the feeling makes me smile, kinda makes my car feel like it has some power ROFL
Thanks for the input
