Does anyone know of a good replacement lifter for the 2.4 SOHC in my Spyder? I've tried replacing them with lifters from the auto parts store and even the dealer and I still get the ticking. Is there a better replacement out there? Also, since rebuilding my motor, I haven't driven 25 miles yet. But te car has sit idling for an 1/2 hour about twice a week for a couple months. I don't have tags on the car anymore so I can only get it on the road late at night. Another problem is throttle surge. The throttle surges at different RPMs throught driving range. Sometimes it surges at 1500, sometimes at 3k, sometimes in between. I was first thinkin air leak but I couldn't find any. Does the ECM have to relearn the a/f curve or something after its disconnected for an extended period of time? If you try to drive slowly with the car in 1st and holdin the throttle steady, the car bucks and almost dies before I can clutch it and feather the gas. Doesn't seem to affect it as much at driving speed. I guess cause of the speed. ANybody got any ideas on the two problems. Also is there a section now for the GS Spyder owners or a website to go to? Thanx guys!
