2.0 swap from 2.4 infamous 1105 code

Ok after doing the 2.4 to the 2.0 Swap I have encountered from what I collect is a very common issue which would be the P1105 FPS code... All the searching I have done has lead me nowhere with solving the issue, I've used about 3 or 4 solenoids that I know to be working and Still throw the code after start up twice after resetting the ECU I took the car to a local shop that deals with cars that are turbod and they told me I just needed a new solenoid and that they did some kind of wiring voodoo to the FPS itself now... That being said after an 80 dollar mitsu ordered fps. the code is still there!!!!
I'm pulling my hair out to fix this, however, if I don't and fail my state inspection 1 more time I will be forced to pay a hugungous fine that I don't want to pay.
The car has a 95-96 motor with a 96 harness however I was told it was still the original 99 spyder harness and that the ECU is a non eeprom 97
Please help...
