I'm done. I think I have all the oil leaks gone. I believe everything is operating right. I have a somewhat tuned SAFC but more tuning is needed. For some reason, my car doesn't get a moving reading for the fuel trims on the logger. Even after changing the fuel delivery, it stays the same at low: 81%, med: 100%, high: 100%. I get no knock so I know I'm running those 550's rich. Open downpipe. blah blah.

I want to hit boost soooo bad but the car only has 15kms on it now so I won't. Besides all the good stuff, my fuel guage isn't working anymore. I took the needle off to sand off the red color if that helps anyone remember a similar problem.

I need help! Last night I finally cranked up my car for the first time with the turbo setup. When it was running it ran really rough at first like it had upgraded cams in it or something. It was missiong at first too. I setup the S-AFC for use in my (still at zero though) and it seemed to help some, but still ran rough. Which one of those little connectors behind the battery do you ground out to adjust the timing? Also, when I would give it a little gas my 2G MAS was making this strange beep sound after I let off the throttle. At idle my EGT's were right around 650* I believe, I'll double check that today. I'll keep you guys updated. Any helps appreciated.

There is a pin connector at the back of the battery in which you have to take off the cover, get an alligator clip and ground the metal piece on the inside. The clip really leads to no where.

Get a datalogger and see what your car is telling you.

TimG I did the same thing with my needles. I sanded them so they would be clear. I did my fuel one. Put it back on and started my car up and I only had 1/4 of a tank. I had a full tank the night before. And I didnt go anywhere. I havnt fixed it yet. Its funny if I fill up with only like 5 bucks it over flows. So I have alot more gas in my tank than it says it does.

simply take most the dash apart, fill the tank completely full, turn the car to on, then remove and re-apply the needle at the full mark. also don't forget that our cars have an idiot light in the lower right corner that will warn you when the gas gets low. i can usually travel about 15-20 miles with the light fully illuminated.

Yeah Mav. I did this 2 weeks ago or so. Worked like a charm. :thumb:

yea i still need to do it to my gf's car since we put in the indiglo's. she thought it was full but it wasn't. oh well.

Alright I did the needle fix thing. I filled it up to full. I mean it over flowed a little. Set needle all the way to full. Re-installed it. Turned key to "on" and it went back to 3/4 of a tank! WTF!!. So when Im on Empty I really have 1/4 or less or a little more. What else do you think is the problem?

did you do it just like this??

1. fill tank

2. turn car on

3. reinstall pointer with key still in on position

4. turn car off

5. turn back on to make sure it worked

that should be all you need to do.

You have to wait for the fuel meter to get to full before you put the needle back on. If you remember when you had a good gas gauge. It would take a good 2 minutes of car 'on time' to get the needle to full. Drive a couple blocks or let it idle for a 5 minutes with the needle off. Then install it at full.
