Resolved 1g tb stop needed for 2g?

Solution
Is the 1g throttle stop nessesary while running a 1g tb in a 2g car?

The "throttle stop" on a 1G is actually the idle position switch (IPS). It tells the ECU when the throttle is closed. It is needed on any 1G throttle body to set the blade to the correct opening off throttle. So yes, it is 100% necessary. You could replace it with a bolt, but it still needs to be set correctly.

Whether or not it needs to be wired up depends on what TPS you are using.

Solution
I chose to use the switch off the 1g as the stop because I couldn't find a bolt thats the right thread pitch and I didn't want to tap it for some ugly construction bolt.
