I have some really bad stock motor mounts on my 91, but I really don't feel like paying over around $100 just for one mount. All of the replacement mounts are much cheaper, but I hear that they are really really hard.

Are there any good stock replacements that won't "rattle my teeth off" ?

You could always fill the old mounts with WindowWeld, or some type of silicone caulking. It takes days to do it since you have to build the filler up in layers so it can dry completely. If you just fill them up all at once it will never dry.

I replaced my motor mounts with OEM mounts. I got them at a club DSM discount so the price wasn't so bad. The rear mount was only $38, the drivers side mount was the most expensive at $87

I run the Prothane mounts and absolutely love them.

You do fee more vibration, but you get used to it quick. The performance benefit is worth it as well....you definitely egt more power to the ground and it is better for the cv axles too.

I agree with DiabloRT about the prothane motor mounts you can feel the car vibrate slightly more, but you can really tell that the power is being put to the wheels gives the car a more solid feel. :talon:

Holy almost 2 year old thread, LOL!!!

Yeah, I agree, its ghetto but it gets the job done for the cost. The original poster stated he didn't want to pay the money for the poly ones and didn't want the harshness of those type mounts.

dude, the polyurithane motor mounts make your car feel more powerful. Have you ever had someone get in your car, and when you start the engine they go, "wow, this car must have a LOT of power, it shakes the whole car when it starts." its so sweet.

just go with the polyurithane, its not going to rattle your teeth off unless you have fake teeth

i also love my motor mounts. now i LOVE the shake of the car but for some weird reason when swaping my motor mounts the rear one didnt fit with the polly one so i just left the rear one out. it doesnt shake as much inside the car and i still feel the torque you gain from having all 4 in!

wait, you did what?

I found out the hard way your supposed to do the rear one first, but did you say you left it so you only have 3 motor mounts, or you left the stock one in?
