Ok, first of all I want nobody saying what a crime it is to put in another 7 bolt...

I got a killer deal on a 93 7 bolt complete engine at a local junk yard (275 dollars) so I decided to use it as my new motor for my gsx. I would like to let everyone know that it is super easy. Everything swaps over except the lower timing belt cover plastic, the front cover, and the water pump. The crank and cam sensors can be reused and you don't have to do any re-wiring. All you have to do is grind 1/8th of an inch out of the 1g front cover. The swap is super easy for 2g guys who are looking for a cheap alternative of an engine swap. I recommend it to any first-time engine swapper or anyone on a budget. :thumb:

didn't really want to bring up a dead thread, but also didn't want to start a new one. does anyone have any pictures of this? or can explain it a little better. is cam in the 1g threaded for the 2g cam sensor?
