Curious if anyone knows if the seats from a 1G Eclipse would fit in a 2G talon. Just curious mine are a little rough, but local junkyard has a set in mint condition.

Well the seats are a lot nicer than what I got now. So I guess you could say its going backwards but if I can get them for cheap its probably worth it.

Have you searched about all the other type of seat people have put into the 2g on here? Just a thought would be try to get ideas off others and keep your eyes open at the junk yards, classifieds, and craigslist for cheap seats or maybe even ebay. Another idea would be pull one of your seats out and look over the brackets and measure the mounting locations and the do the same with the ones at the junk yard.

Hard to find nice interior parts from the Junk Yards. Seems like as soon as cars hit the yard the doors and windows get removed or left open and all the moisture gets in and ruins everything. You can always do some measuring and drill new holes for the 1G seats. Just weld or use some filler in the old holes and you'll be good to go. Of course, I'm not sure how the depth will be in the 2G floor vs the 1G. You can pretty much get any seats to fit in anything if you want though.

I dunno that they would be a drop in affair. But you can make that shit work.

Other cars to look for seats in (similar sized cars with good seats)

S2k
Celica
Saturn Ion Redline (Recaros in those bitches are ####ing nice as hell)
Saturn SL2/SC2/SW2 These have adjustable lumbar support, and pretty durable (200k on mine with only a wear through hole on the drivers seat where I slide in and out of the car.)
240sx.

I am sure you can find some junkyard seats if you look hard enough. Just use a good bolt or the orginal bolts in your car and fab up something.
