my 6 bolt swap is almost complete. I am now working on wiring the 1g CAS to accomidate the 2g cam and crank sensor. The wire from the wiring harness for the crank sensor on my 2g comes out right by the timing belt. There is another plug that comes out right there too and looks like it plugs into the Cam sensor. But, my service manual says that the Cam sensor wiring is on the trans side. But there is no wires that hook up to the 2g Cam sensor by the trans. I guess my question is, does the 2g cam sensor look just like the 2g Crank sensor and where are the wires located. Sorry for the confusion. Thanks guys.

i think they look different. i have the seven bolt block with the 1gcas but the 2nd gen crank sensor isn't used. the 2nd gen crank sensor just hangs there. so the 1g cas gives the computer both crank and cam signals. youve check out rre and magnus motorsports right?

i know the 2g sensors are no longer used. my qestion is where are the wires for the cam and crank sensors off a 2g so i can wire my 1g CAS to those wires.

i would figure that you make your harness get the 2g crank sensor at the connector, and the cam sensor behind the intake cam gear of the 2ng gen head find that connector. well it won't be there anymore if the 1g head is on. and splice them together in the 1gcas. try these

so the cam and crank connectors are behind the intake cam gear right?

yah the cam senser is behind the cam gear and the crank sensor is the plug coming out of the timing belt cover about half way down on the intake side too.
