Hi.
I recently installed a 1g bov. I have the t-25, and i just blew the t25 up, also. So anyhow, I was wondering. My 1g bov sounds nothing like my 2g bov. the 1g makes a sort of fluttering sound, is this right? i am recircing.

I am wondering if the reason i destroyed my t25 is that the fluttering is not right, and it was forcing air back into the turbine blades.. just a theory...

either that, or it's because i was intentionally running 20psi of boost :p :shhh:

I'm guessing it's a combination of the two. My 1g bov never fluttered. What you probably heard was compressor surge and the bov wasn't opening at all. Also, why were you running 20 psi on the t25?

I will check the vacuum line. I was running 20psi to kill it sooner, to be honest. I knew it would blow it. 11psi is the safe limit. it already had in/out shaft play

Not smart either, you could have sold the working T25 for like $200 and put it towards purchase of the new turbo. Now you have to clean the IC as well.

oldman,
I will not sell faulty products. the t-25 was not working properly, and nobody had a solution, so I did what I wanted.

Thanks for the tip to clean the I/C.

Didn't mean it like that. :) Some shaft play $200, no shaft play $250-300. Who knows how long it would have survived if you didn't abuse it. ;)
