1g Bov Idiot!!!

I have a 2G and purchased a 1G BOV a few months back. Havent had the money to purchase the adapter plate to put it on. Well yesterday I ran into a few bucks cash and wanted to buy one. I called the local go faster and furious place called Speed Factory, in El Paso Texas. They have tons of cars that they "hook up" for people in this area, which is really behind the times as far as the car scene. They say they "specialize" in boost.
I get the cheesedickk on the phone, and I tell him that I have a 1G BOV need to put it on my 2G... adapter plate blah blah blah.
He says, "why"...(should have hung up there)
I paused and just said.."cuz i want to"
he comes back with, "thats dumb"
" dumb?" i say....
" we dont recomend that, there is like no point to that"
so i said " why? do you just want me to buy a shiney new BOV from you"
he says " i dont care who you buy it from, but (here it is..brace your self) PUTTING A 1G BOV ON A 2G IS COMPLETELY USELESS"
I just said ok and hung up. I couldnt wait to come on here and post this. Just goes to show you that some of these rich little cheesedickks that own these nice rice joints are overpaid and under skilled.

I wouldnt ever do business with them again. Regardless of the fact that the guy obviously had no idea what he was talking about, that is no way to talk back to a customer looking to buy something from your shop. It's just bad business, delete that number from your phone and never look back

well...its the only one in the lovely city of el paso thats even worth a damn thing.
if i had the ability to use my bank accnt and order online i would have. Just thought that I could purchase a small adapter with little hassle. I would never buy anything major there. Have you ever been to el paso? It really sucks. Not to mention that we are about 4000 feet up and it gets 115 in the summer. FUN

Why didn't you take that opportunity to educate him on why you needed a 1g BOV. (I'm assuming you know why the 2g needs to be replaced) The only thing better than making fun of them, is mocking their intelligence to their face, and listening to their dumbass response.

I am continually amazed at the total lack of customer service in almost any aftermarket/customizing type retailer. I run across this constantly with sportbike stuff, rockcrawling 4x4 stuff, and quad/atv stuff. Now I see it with performance car stuff. What's the deal?

I now buy most of my stuff online and won't go back to places with idgets like the one you mentioned.

just buy it from some place online or a shop that specializes in DSM's. as you have found out, most places are dominated by Honduh driving idiots who have no idea why you would want to do this. better yet, get an aftermarket UICP flanged for a 1G BOV

Although for a Stock or mildly modded car it is worth it to put a 1g if your starving for money... but in all honestly anything faster than 11's should have a nice bov that will protect the big aftermarket turbo from compressor surge...

Maybe he thought since you had a bad ass 4g63 you were actually planning on doing something important to it to make it "really" fast and you would need a new bov as the 1g's are good till about 20psi... but not MUCH more...

Call back and ask if they have the adapter plate. If its the same guy and he is still a cheesedick then tell him in these exact words " I DONT GIVE A *explitive deleted* WHAT YOU THINK, JUST TELL ME IF YOU HAVE THE *explitive deleted* ADAPTER, CHEESEDICK!!!!"

if he is still a little dousche afterwards, talk to the manager and tell him to find employees that arent so retarded and ask him if they will answer your damn question, being, DO YOU HAVE THE ADAPTER?.

If you still don't get what you want...tell them to shove it and go somewhere better.
And everyone on here is right when they say buying things online is better.

This is the same guy that I talked to the day i got my dsm about a BOV and he said that venting to the atmosphere is fine...there is no need to re~circ. That was the same day i came on here for the first time. The first things i read were about how you should recirc and not but an hour later this guy tells me "why would you want to do that". I really wish el paso didnt suck so much. If anybody is every driving through dont go by SPEED FACTORY....the dude is an idiot
