190 or 255 Fuel Pump/ACT2100 or 2600?

hey my set up again is Evo 16g, 510cc Injectors, and 3in" cat....i just ordered a 255 pump but then did some researching...my goals are only at a 350hp MAX.. for a daily driven DSM..but if i get 255 people been tellin me to get aftermarket AFPR with that just in case so it dont over run....but with my goals....should i just get a 190 pump instead? would it make any difference....and also on my setup....2100 or 2600? thanks all comments appreciated. :thumb:

350whp for a front wheel drive is gonna be awsome and my point is anything worth doing is doing it right.............the first time! don't baby step your way up, it's a waste of money!! go with the 255 and the 2600lb.! you won't be disappointed!!! :talon:

ok ok very confused........one says 255 and 2600........other says 190 and 2100......my goals are 350WHP yes...jus :confused:
 
ive heard complaints from the subby guys with 2600!!!

2100 ceramic will hold 350 hp just fine.

They say traffic with a 2600lb is a bi*** to drive.
 
i should also add that its been rumored that a 2600 on a 2g can speed up the crankwalk process....again this is a rumor and no one really has any hard facts...just something to think about...and yes, the 2600 blows ass in traffic
 
2100 is not going to hold up to any kind of abuse, unless you let it cool down adequately between launches. Once you get up to the 350hp level and you spend a lot of time at the dragstrip, or street race a lot, you're going to wish you had the 2600.
 
thts strange, i have a 2100 and i run 12's on it at 108 mph with 1.7 60 foots. my 2100 is the bomb. get a 2600 and your just gonna crankwalk alot sooner. that comment is gonna stir up alot of shit but its def true. nevermind all the broken tranny parts. i guarantee someone with the same exact setup as my car with a 2600 would probably not turn anything better than a 1.7 60 foots also. and if so, not much better :dsm:
 
I can't/won't give advice. I wil share what I have and I also research before I buy. '93AWD Talon, 103K Miles on the clock. I added 550cc injectors wth the GM MAF-Translator. The translator is a great mod. I went with an X-ACT flywheel and the 2100.
I recently added a Buschur 2.5" exhaust to bolt to the EVO 02, manifold and EVO Big 16G turbo, all ported. I have a 255 Walbro in my spare bedroom because I am running 12.25:1 at WOT, yet to see any lean fluctuations so I must be running the stock pump unless someone changed it before me. The fuel filter does have a gauge on the top of it so perhaps the pump was replaced. I would add the 255 but $2.5 bills for a regulator??
If you want 350HP at the wheels I would say the 255 and you mght as well go for the 2600. I doubt I have 300 at the crank with what I have. 350 is a lot of HP. I would guess a 50 trim for the turbo. 3" pipes. 660 injectors at least. Probably some nice head work though I know zip on cams. Mark
PS: Don't forget the frontmount!

510cc injectors won't really allow high boost on the EVO 16G.

I would recommend:
190lph fuel pump
Centerforce Dual Friction Clutch

what? ive seen people run over 20psi with 16g's on stock 450's.

You aren't running any EVO16G over 20psi on pump gas with 450's, sorry.
 
To the originator of this post I say thank you! This is a learning process and you and I are both doing that! I just saw you are running the EVO III turbo. I think putting 350HP to the wheels with that turbo will be a lot of work, especially tuning. It's said that that turbo is capable of 380, crank or wheels, I don't know.
Is there a particular reason for the 350HP target? Nice target but i'm just trying to get in line with your thought process on that. My goal wit my '93AWD was to have a nice ride for interstate driving, that could pass semi's with a single burst of boost and upon reaching the crest of hills still be maintaining the same speed as when I started up the hill!!! I have the EVO with 550's and MAF, decent exhaust and I don't think I have 300 at the crank. I hope to get it on a dyno this summer as I heard somewhere near Rochester there is a 4 wheel dyno.
I do believe setting numerical goals can be dissapointing and expensive if you are stubborn and insist upon reachig the goal!! haha I have a hard head myself.I'm afraid I will blow my motor cause speed/power is never enough for me. I have to many ism's. I would like to ask the guys who have made 350WHP to tell us what you did to reach that. i will start another post. mark
