You'll feel a night and day difference between the big 16g and the t-25 you've got on there now. I would turn down the boost controller a bit as this turbo does flow more air than the t-25...you should start turning it up slowly and keep an eye on timing. You don't need a turbo timer, just make sure to let it idle a bit after a good drive. I think the install kit is over-rated and over-priced. Pick yourself up a 1g J-pipe or an aftermarket J-pipe from any of the vendors in the parts catalog on this site. Then, get a stainless oil feed line and you'll be set. You need to adjust the water lines a bit, but they bent pretty easily. Once you put the turbo on, you'll see exactly what you have to do and it will become very clear. I bought the 2g install kit for $199 back when I didn't know how to do it, and once I got the t-25 off and the 16g on, I knew I had wasted alot of money on it. It sounds more complicated than it actually is.

I agree, Don't go waste money on the install kit, You can do what blackGSX2g said and it will work the same way. Also, If you do not have a fuel pump, I sugest getting one, And possibly injectors and something to control the fuel with. Dont forget an exhaust also. When I had a 16g I had the stock exhaust from the testpipe back and once i put the new one on, It made a noticable difference. goodluck :)

You'd only need a turbo timer after the install if you don't install the water lines and plug them instead.

Nobody NEEDS a turbo timer...its a convience thing. If you don't have the patience to let it cool down, then a turbo timer is a luxury option you could go for. It is not a necessity for your car.

Unless you feel like sitting in your car for x minutes (big range of time) it'd be advisable to get one to avoid coking up.
