Just curious about which is better as far as peak power potential. I would normaly say 16G but here latley I've been seeing alot of 14Bs putting down good numbers and times and it makes me wonder if its worth the extra dough to do an evo 16g or not. I only want 350whp maybe 400 but 350 will be good for me really. I've had a couple chances to snag a 14B but never did cause I wanted a 50trim or 16g anyway I've rambled enough what do you take on that.

;) :D OMG werd LOL. Think I will that was my original plan but money started getting tight and a evo 16g started looking appealing LOL at that price.

The Evo 16g will flow 40+ lbs/min of air, its a good turbo, especially for the money.

But then, the 14b is cheap cheap :) And its pretty good too.

I would try ported 14b w/ upgrade flapper door whether you're on tight budget or not. Then get all other supporting mods ready and go BIG (50 trim +). I have a friend ran 12s on ported 14b but he hasn't ran any faster with b16g. Its a hard decision when come to turbo choices. ;)

I did not feel too much of a difference when I switch from a 14b to a 16g but flow charts do not lie. The car with the turbo that flows more cfm's has the "potential" to put out more power but does not nessecarily because of the condition of the motor, tuning, type of gas, etc. For 350awhp it would be close to impossible on a small/big 16g powered car on pump gas. I'm not saying it can't be done but the tuning would have to be to a perfect T and it would end up costing more than just buying a bigger turbo. A 50 trim should fit your needs pretty well.

I'm not one to be ignorant about this LOL so I think a 50trim is def in order. I've been talking with ben at AGP anyway so. Thanks for the responses though guys.
