I took my 450 stock injectors out and compare them to my rc 1000cc. The 450cc has three rubber seals on it, top o-ring, the middle sheet and the bottom insulator. I was told the rc injectors uses oem seals.

The bottom insulator seem to fit tight, but when I went to put in the top o-ring, it'll go in but there is space in between, I can move the o-ring up and down. Is that going to be a problem, same thing with the bottom insulator? And I think the rc injector don't need the middle sheet right?

Okay, with all that being said, the rc injectors doesn't seem as tight as the stock injectors when I went to stick it in the fuel rail, just a little loose.

I install all the rc injectors on and change some settings on ecmlink, the car starts and there isn't any fuel leak at all.

How do I change the setting for these big injectors? All I did was calculate the injector size and save to ecu. Is there more to it?

Thanks.

The Injector Sheet (the middle one) is used to hold the injector down in the head. The bottom of the fuel rail rests on the sheet holding the insulator in the head and sealing the injector to the insulator. The top of the injector and o-ring are intended to float in the fuel rail. All that the top o-ring does is seal against the fuel pressure creating a fuel leak. The injector shouldn't bottom out in the rail.

The oem sheet doesn't seem to fit into the rc injectors. These rc are not the old type (I'm guessing). These are the one like a horn on the bottom of it. I know the sheet will fit the old rc but these have something there.

I guess to replace the sheet. Correct me if I'm wrong.

The first picture are like mines. The second picture are I guess the older kind.
Can you see that the sheet will fit the old on but not the new ones. Do I need the sheet in my case? There is more gap on the top o-ring also.

I tried to explain how the OEM parts work, so if you have some unusual configuration you can find/create an equivalent system. If you still have the original injectors you can measure the lengths of the critical sections and figure out how big you need to make the spacers for the different places.

Getting a good seal at the head with that sort of pintle cap looks fun.

If these are low impendance, which they are, then they should just be plug and play. This should only take you 30-45 minutes, the longest part being getting the fuel rail to sit correctly and flush after the install. Then like stated above you'll have to get your deadtime and fuel trims adjusted accordingly.
