I was at Advance Auto the other day getting some oil, and saw that Mobil 1 has a new oil
0W-30. It said on the bottle for euro sport cars and Ford focus I have allways been using
10w-30 synthic blend. But is a no weight gear oil safe to use in a DSM engine ?

Thanks was looking at some of the posts about people using lower weight gear oils going to stick with 10W - 30.

You can't go wrong with Mobil One Full Synth 15w50

Bah i meant to say Just Oil, NOT gear oil, just regular motor oil.

it is what i use in my Turbo B16 and in my turbo dsm in the summer and have no problems with it. i think it is less likely to burn off in the turbo but i really don't think the oil thing is going to be a clean cut answer.

So as long as you change the oil 2500-3000 i think no matter if you run 5w30 or 15w50w you will be fine.
