I have spent 2 months reading about clutch issue and my issue seems like there is something either wrong with the clutch or transmission now. I purchased my Southbend SS-X Series 2700 and B series clutch, new oem tob, from TMZ around October 2025, and a new clutch fork, installed and was working fine. I was having issues with engagement but fixed it with a new ACT flywheel. A few months has went by and one day I let my son drive my car around the block, he called me and said that the car wouldn't go into gear. To start it you have to have the clutch pedal pushed in, is what he told me. I have the clutch safety switch disabled.
I get to him and checked the slave, and clutch master for any leaks, and just to see if I could shift the transmission without the car running. All verified good, I went to start it and the car acted like it was in gear, I know I have the clutch safety disabled so I tried to start it again and it dragged like the clutch is engaged. I pressed the pedal in and it starts right up but if I try and let of the clutch you can hear the clutch disc and the rpms slow down. I got the car and pulled the transmission, I verified that I can turn the input shaft by hand, I found that also my transmission has 2 washers installed behind the pivot ball. I checked the clutch and pressure plate and everything looks good still.
This past week I ordered and new clutch master and slave cylinder. I took both none leaking clutch master and slave that was on the car off, after removing, I noticed that clutch master rod was slightly bent, and both the master and slave looked crusty. Installed the clutch master and slave, bench bled the master and and then bled the slave and went the extra step to remove the bleeder valve on the slave and and fully bled the slave. I went to see if that fixed the issue and still, I need to have the pedal pressed in to start and once I start to release the pedal you can hear the clutch start to spin, or without the clutch pedal pressed, it acts like the car is in gear.
