- Known this friend for 8 years and every time i’ve gone to his house I would see their families eclipse sitting. I would ask questions when they’re gonna get it back up and running again? It was always being delayed and sat in the driveway of their house. Recently in July of 2026, my friend told me his family was gonna sell it since he doesn’t want to pour money into restoring it. I jumped in on it quick and even got a family discount. All it needed was a battery to start with only 82k miles on it although it needs more love than that. I plan to restore fully restore it with no rust keeping an oem+ street build in mind. I’m so glad I got this car from my friend because it was passed down to him as a family heirloom and although they didn’t take care of it i’m more than happy to see their reaction to it when I get it in the condition that they bought it in back in 1998 now its passed down to me. I’m super happy to take ownership of this car and to be in this forum.
