- When I got my first job. I thought eclipses were just non turbo front wheel drive gas savers. I didn't even know about lazers or talons at that point. Well I was working with this guy who had a 99 GSX. That is when I discovered that Mitsubishi has turbo charged AWD versions. I fell in love. I bought myself a 90 Tsi, had it for maybe 4 months. Dropped the front end on a curb backing out of my buddy drive way. Not enough angle... Well i got a coolant leak, didn't maintain or get it fixed in time. Blew my head gasket... Traded is to a guy who i knew was gonna repair it and clean it up. It is still running strong to this day. So 2 years later. That guy i worked with. I bought his 99 GSX. Awesome right? Well I cannot believe how abused this 99 GSX is. Sun roof is broken, it works but the mount for the window is busted. the hatch cable is ether stuck or broken. my gauge cluster doesn't light up. my stereo will not go above 20 without shutting off. I cant unlock my driver side door without the car alarm going off. And when the alarm does go off i gotta pull the power off the battery. My GSX with randomly hit the brakes out of nowhere. when it does brake the Anti-lock light pops up on my dash. it idles at like 300 rpms to 600 rpm. It has low oil pressure. check engine light is on. the turbo surges when i get on the throttle. I just hate how much that rat lied to me about the car. Regardless its a 99 GSX, my dream car. So I'm on this site to get some advice and tips about my car and what i need to do to fix it. Once i fix all the problems i plan on making it handle better then i wanna make it faster. i honestly don't know much about working on cars. And i'm scared to make things worse. i need help. lets me know what you guys think and talk to me about fixes and build for my car.
