hey guys ,today i was driving my car and something happened here is the story:

i started my car this morning and took it for a spin, as soon as i reach 4500 rpm's my car looses all the power and just won't pull,it runs with no bogging and stuff like that,did a boost leak test, got some really small leak around the TB but its not the problem the leak starts at 27 PSI,but im running just 18,i don't know what else i should try to look at ,any suggestions would be great!! Thanks....
 
yeah the rpms are going up but from 4500 no power,it feels like im driving on ice ,the dump tube that i have making huge wraaaah and thats it,i put new spark plugs,and realized that when i start up my car some blue smokes comes out out of my exhaust ,for like couple of seconds ant then no smokes
 
i figured out that its not a clutch slipping because when im at wot my rpm's doesnt spike to the end ,it just goes slowly with the speed, and it just feels like slipping clutch,it does from 1st to the 5th gear, the gears shifts very smooth without any grind,could it be problem with an axels?? or some vac lines??? i don't know where else to look :sosad:
 
yeah im biulding boost till 17 psi,thats what i have to set it up to,and my wastegate arm is one ,i already checked all those minor things but cant solve the problem,today i did a boost leak test today,came up with no leaks at all ,prob i think something has to do with a turbo housing maybe i got some cracks inside turbo housing i dunno is that could be that problem,because its worth to spend almoust a day to take out turbo and put it back together :sosad: But like after 4500 rpmsa if i press the gas pedal slowly then ii getting speed but if i do a WOT car goes nowhere
 
From reading your post....

If your boost is steadily held at 17 psi...how is your vacuum? Do you hold 11-20 in. hg of steady (meaning the needle is smooth and steady) vacuum at idle?

Is your base timing set properly? 5 deg. BTDC at 750 idle, and all that?

Have you run any good High Octane fuel in it to illeviate enivitable Timing Retard on Pump Gas?

I remember how my old 16G setup felt soft on low boost and pump gas with 750's.... and 550's are no good for Big Power out of a 16g either....
 
im using MAFT GEN II to adjust my fuel settings and i have a wideband o2 which shows me 12:6:1,i dont have any loggers i know its PITA to tune without a logger but before couple of days the car ran good without any problems on high rpms,i think turbohousing has to do with that i remember when i port the turbo i had some real cracks inside around the wastegate flapper,but i got no boost spike it stay solid at 17psi and my vacc readings are not steady it moves rom 20 to 16,17,15 lets say my vacc is from 20 to 15hg and talking about the fuel im running 93 octane every day no lower no higher :)
 
i took my turbo apart today and i yeah i found cracks,but theyre not that bad like i thought they are ,so i came up with another thing : Could it be a bad Tranny? cause taking off the tranny is not for me ,never did that and i dont want to mess the whole thing:sosad:
 
I think we have the same problem man.. just bout a tsi and it sat for a month before hand... boost doesnt drop no leaks but after 4500rpms the car is gutless besides this i cant find a damn problem any help?

I have a 1g BOV on it.. no light comes on.. boost stays at 14lbs. plugs good.. im thinkn fuel cut off

Also, from a cold start she perrrss but once she warms up the idle is pretty bad.. an abrupt on off noise without the rpms droping much less than 200s.. hit me back hopefully someones had this problem

is your car stock, other than the 1g bov?
 
Things i would dbl check before i start ripping stuff off.

1.Injector's make sure there all plugged in good.
2.Bad coil
3.Check plug wires.
