I took off the oem blanket material years ago when mine was still a street car because it was getting torn up, never noticed any difference. There is sound deadening on the inside too.
Usually around/in the glove box. You don't need a CDI to have spark, the stock ignition is non-cdi and plenty good for 500+ hp. Does it have coil on plugs?
Summit sells several quality brands such as Vibrant, Fragola, Russell and their own Summit branded stuff is decent for budget stuff. When it comes to fuel, you don't pick cheap as it can burn your car to the ground.
I wouldn't trust evil energy with anything fuel related. I bought some of their AN fittings for my catch can lines to save some cash and I had 2 break in less than a year.
It's a big blue box, should be easy to spot, some people do mount it inside the car as they have a terrible reputation of failing in the engine bay. That being said I can't see any reason for one on a GST Spyder.
I'll be pulling my motor apart for upgrades soon, I'll try to get some measurements of my Eagles, which are about 12 years old, to see if they've changed over the years.
Here's the update I promised a long time ago with side by side photos comparing the two.Seems like the general consensus is same same but different, the few differences I could spot are

Read the Ecmlink wiki, tons of good info. It just gets rid of the MAF altogether, I personally find it easier to tune, cleaner appearance, less clutter, less restrictive intake. Even if you were to blow a coupler or something the car would still...
Skip the 2g MAF and just go right to speed density with Ecmlink. The stock 1g bov is actually quite good and not a big concern but if you go to speed density when I would suggest a Tial Q 50mm.
Yup that's the beauty if it, if you have the parameters, you can run it. Our local group is trying to all run the same sensors, coils, etc so in the event one of us has an issue, we're more than likely to have a spare on hand between us.
I just bought the DSMtuners 20-year Anniversary shirt (it's an awesome shirt by the way), and that inspired me to recreate a picture from the day I first bought my 1G, back in January 2003. I was just a 16-year-old kid with a $250 car (with a...
