Now that's how you diagnose stuff. It's objective. Well done.

Check your connection and harness on the coil and the ignition transistor.

Correct. It's fine on cast iron.

Your logic is very flawed. Safe for pvc so it's safe for metal??? No. Lye eats aluminum. Doesn't mean people don't use it. Leave it on long enough lye does damage aluminum. Your exhaust manifold is cast iron. You can use it but oven cleaner...

Did I miss something? We suddenly update a 2 yr old thread?

Fmic is one of those things that larger has few downsides. The issues will be packaging and whether or not that affects engine cooling. Cost. And whatever compromises come with running an fmic. I chose an ets street unit as I didn't want to cut...

pauleyman replied to the thread 2G P1105 ECU replacement.
I don't have my books handy. Some other post are suggesting I'm wrong and said p1105 is fuel pressure solenoid as you suggested. Anybody else wanna chime in?Thing is FPR shouldn't really cause any major symptoms except maybe a mild start...

pauleyman replied to the thread 2G P1105 ECU replacement.
Better to send it and have it repaired. Ecmtuning.com Alternatively if you're going to replace and want some flexibility there are other options. We need to know your plans with the car. Are you trying to modify or are you here just looking for...

You are more than welcome to this forum but this one is focused on the 90-99 cars and mostly the 4g63 turbo cars. You may also check out https://www.club3g.com/ There are some similarities between the 3g motor and the 4g63 but they are few...

He did but check the link. There is more to it. The rod has to be narrowed also.

pauleyman replied to the thread 2G P1105 ECU replacement.
P1105 is not a fuel pressure solenoid. It's a map sensor. Dont just go replacing parts. I'd check for a leak first. Boost leak check the car and possibly do a vacuum check. Possible a simple vac leak.

That's a lot of play. Are you sure the trans bolts are all tight and all of them are there?

pauleyman replied to the thread Heavy tools.
Internet has failed me. RIMAC is apparently well known for certain thing but I can't find squat about their hand tools. Apparently they are THE company for valve spring testers. Like HUGE and they recently started making some manual valve spring...

pauleyman replied to the thread RVR TRANS GOOD FOR PARTS?.
      Is this a w5m33 or a w5m31? If it's a 31 walk away.

Considering the amount of money mitsu shelled out for the early 1g timing belt failures and recall I'm sure they wanted to make sure to minimize losses. I had a 1 owner 90 and I was subjected to the timing belt recall. I got my belt replaced for...

pauleyman replied to the thread RVR TRANS GOOD FOR PARTS?.
Problem is you won't know if it's 91 92 or 93 up. Unless you want to swap lots of stuff. It's a crap shoot without a vin.And you still didn't say what those numbers are supposed to be.

pauleyman replied to the thread RVR TRANS GOOD FOR PARTS?.
What are these specs you're posting? If it's supposed to be a comparison one of those is a w5m31. Not the same unit. As old as these things are almost any w5m33 is worth owning if it isn't worn out. Need more info. Do you have specific questions...
