I dont really dig the dull grey interior of my 96 gsx. Took the car to a full on custom interior shop, but the guy said he would do me a favor and turned me down. He said that in two years I would be back cause the paint would start to chip and it would look terrible. What do you guys think?

in response to the 1348634th time this has come up. If you sand/prep, primer, and paint:; it will be fine. I painted most of my interior lasy year and its still perfect. Take your time and do it right the first time and it will be fine. Do a search on a tutorial on how to do it if you dont know

Yea, chuck and i have posted on this several times in the past few days. If you do a search for "painted interior" or "changing interior color" you will probably bring up a few good posts. I even posted 2 different walkthoughs depending on how you want your peices to look.

Like chuck said.. do it right the first time, and you will have no problem. THe only place where my paint chips is where the door comes in contact with the door frame..

I had my pieces dyed. It's a different look and pretty budget-minded. It's flat instead of glossy, but it's an exact color match. It can be scuffed and all, but it's held up fine for around 1 year and a half now. A shop did it for $100. Here's a pic of a few weeks ago:
