Hey guys, This is the scenario. I had the calipers off the car for 2-3 weeks while I was doing an awd swap. After I got everything back together and put the calipers on I blead, blead, and blead the brakes. Also blead the master cylinder several times now to be sure it was blead correctly. I know the system must have gone dry. I searched everywhere and everyone that says their master cylinder went dry just blead it then the brakes and where on their way. Or their mc is just leaking. I even got a set of speed bleeders to make sure I wasnt f*ing something up.
As of now there is No air in the lines and No air in the master cylinder. Once I start the car, the first push of the pedal has very little to no pressure then next push I have a pretty good resistance, but if I wait a couple seconds and press it again then it just goes to the floor with no resistance. Also if I press the brakes when I first start the car cold, then it wants to die when I press the pedal, until it gets warmed up. I didnt know if this was related or not.
There are no leaks in the lines and no air in the lines so my conclusion is the master cylinder is bad. In my chiltons they do not list any tests for the mc. I am I right in assuming the mc went bad because it went dry for awhile? If so, I have read I could get a rebuild kit for it. Does anyone know where or what would be involved to rebuild it? Also could I get one off of a part out? If it comes out of a car then it would be dry- the same thing that could possibly have caused mine to go bad. Would this work or not?

When your M/C goes bad your pedal hits the floor like Lou ferrigno punched it LOL, and it would be cheaper to get a master cylinder from a junkyard
