I want to buy a low mile JDM engine for my '92 TSi AWD. I have searched online and founed tons of places that sell these engines. I am wondering if any of you guys have experience buying engines online. Or if someone could recommend a(n online) store. Every input and advice is highly appreciated! Thanks! :talon:

I have a built 4g63 with 1000 miles, ARP hardware, new rings, bearings, balanced, metal head gasket, both manifolds, ported o2 housing, 450's, rail and reg, ign coils and igniter.. PM me for prices

From my personal expereince i have done three 6bolt swaps and one started knocking like 1,000 miles down the road, the other had a valve that was cracked. I would take your motor out, order a top line kit and rebuild it. I have orderd from Japanstarmotor.com, 2 from Osakajdmmotors.com. Both cam in the same damaged power transitors, harnesses cut , and you could tell they were literally cut out of a car.

you got a 92... you got a 6 bolt... you dont need a jdm motor, just yours rebuilt if it needs to be freshened.

i mean unless there is some specific reason why you want it....

like being able to say "i got this mad tyte jdm motor yo. its like wicked fast."

dont trust any of those sites that "import low mile jdm engine" thats crap its a junkyard. buy from a place that you can go look at and dont settle. i was gona buy one from totaljdm.com but i looked into it and that company doesnt even do business anymore they take your money and you get your engine in like 6 months if lucky. i found a recycling place and they gave me a 6 month unlimited mile warranty and they rebuild my head for 250 bucks!

Not to be a hater but I had a friend who ordered from totaljdm.com and the engine was pristine. He replaced all gaskets and timing belt to be safe and its saucy as can be. :talon:
