As title states..It started yesterday afternoon on the way to the brewers game. It idles normal regular lifter tick that ive always had. But when i rev it to about 3k or higher it sounds bad. When i drive it it does the same feels like there is a heavy load on the engine and hesitates to go while making that noise.

I removed the VC earlier today to see if i had any shavings under there everything looked normal. I checked the dipstick as well it was pretty clean. Next i will drain the oil when i get a chance to see if it looks ok. It started happening on the freeway when i went to put in 3rd ever since it started doing this.

Should i remove timing cover and check to see if its timed properly and didnt happen to jump? Any help will be appreciated.

I bet its the power steering pump. put your ear up to it and see if thats the noise. mine goes clack, clack and i can feel it draging too.

Alright guys just came back in from working on it. Found out it jumped about half a tooth of timing cause=balance shaft belt.. No idea what went wrong late april of this year when i put my cams in i did water pump, pulley, tbelt, balance shaft belt, etc everything pretty much so i dont know what went wrong.

Half a tooth of jumped timing anyone think it should be ok? Ill re time it tomorrow seeing its already dark out i dont wanna make the situation worst

Dude that sounds like straight up knock. Omg, hearing you rev it up made me bunch up.

If you want to know what happens if your not sure if that's knock and keep driving it. Read my 1 thread titled I believe * Is this knock*.

It was to late.....

If I was you. I would pull the pan and check for bearing material, and check the rods for excessive play. Just to be safe.
It could just be a really bad BS bearing or something. But sounds very similar to my car.

KEEP UPDATED.

Just for info, I messed up timing on a Honda civic, 2 teeth. Just idled bad no noise.

Mazda-mx-6 turbo, 6 teeth!, wouldn't start no noise. Luckily that was a non-interference engine.

Those were beer drinking mistakes.
