What's Easier? Engine only or engine tranny install.

I am finally installing my 1G-2G hybrid engine. The car is a 95 turbo with manual transmission.
What is easier,
installing the block in the car, then installing the top end;
installing the fully assembled engine; or
installing the fully assembled engine and tranny.
I've done it the first two ways before and fondly remember working in the many cramped spaces. I'm hoping the third way is relatively easy.

If you aren't in a hurry the easiest way is to put the block and transmission in then install the head and timing belt. If your like me I put the whole motor and transmission in completely assembled timing and all.

In my opinion, easiest way would be to completely assemble the engine, and install that with the tranny bolted to it. A suggusting I got from alot of people was to hoist the front end of you car up 3 feet, slide the engine and tranny under it, and then lower the engine bay onto the engine. Seemed like a good idea, but I couldnt figure out how to keep the engine upright and supported as it went under the car.

Good luck.

I found it easy to just pull out the engine and tranny together because there is less to deal with. No aligning the tranny or working in tight spaces, all you have to worry about is the axles, the 4 engine mounts, the wiring, the fuel, and the exhaust. Put the engine on a engine stand and it will make life very easy. Installation is very easy, you just drop it in and start aligning everything up with the motor mounts. If you are like me and don't like the added agravation of making something harder than it has to be but spending a little more time then this is the way to go.
