As the title says, what is a safe boost level for my car/mods. I'll post them so you don't have to look at the profile. I run 93 octane always.

K&N filter with hard intake pipe
Ported 2g exhaust mani and O2 housing
SBR Ported Evo III 16g
MBC
NGK wires and plugs
3g lifters
Brode UICP with 2g TB elbow and ported TB

Before you say it, I know I need to buy an exhaust, upgrade the fuel system and get some sort of fuel management sys. Thanks everyone

Nobody can tell you this for certain. You need to tune your car for knock and see how your particuar setup reacts. Remember a little flash on a piston or head can cause detonation at a lower level and none of us can see it.

Just tune for knock and see how high you can go without knocking...be aware this level will change as the intake charge temp varies.

u dont just have to worry about detonation, u also have to worry about running too lean from starving the fuel system. That's why before u can go over 16 its a good idea to redo ur fuel system. As well as an upgraded intercooler to lower intake charges cause after 16 psi the stock side mount heat soaks.

detonation is caused by running to lean, so if you are running lean your likly to detonate the mixture. It's vise versa

I would turn the boost all the way down for right now. You definatly need the fuel mods for that turbo, Once you get an exhaust also, That will open everything up alot! I have everything in the classifieds for sale with around 100miles on them all ;) :)

detonation is caused by running lean?

Thought detonation was caused by too much pressure and not high enough octane fuel to slow down the burn.
