What speed does your NT max out at?

How many miles do you have on your car? I mean I have just over 100 k miles and dont have a problem cruisin at 120. 140 mph is very obtainable on a stock 420a.

I'm going to disagree. Not trying to be a dick, but a stock 2gnt is drag limited to 130mph. I've kept mine buried in 5th on the interstate (early morning) and down a hill it still wouldn't get over 130mph.

At this time it had around 75k miles.

My speedo must be off then, I had mine full throttle for 85 miles on a road were i only seen one car the whole trip...and at points I hit 140 I have 99K miles on my car, Was still late for work damn it

Not trying to be a dick or anything but you shouldn't open your mouth unless you know what you are talking about. I would understand if you said they were limited because they were governed, or gear limited, but you said drag limited. I've had my car easily up to 130 in 4th gear and it wasn't even redlined. So please, don't try to call someone out if you don't know what you are talking about. K? Tks.

I have had my rs up to 140 more than one occasion. I used to have a carbon fiber spoiler which i couldnt adjust the downforce on and it had alot of drag i could hardly do over 120 with it on as soon as i took it off i could hit 130 easily. after 130 it takes a while to get to 140 though

considering how everyone else is stretching the truth.... my 1.8 goes about 320mph... but the tsi goes around 362mph... LoL.. kidding

i have had the 1.8 a lil over 120 mph.... and the tsi to around 140mph(not sure if it was maxed out or not)

Pretty much, it is not a road that has a lot of turns in the road. I was going to be late for work so I just put my foot in the gas. The whole time im like please I dont want to see a MHWP Montana Highway Patrol, or blow a tire. They take you to jail for anything above 105. I did let off a couple of times but did not drop below 120. I had to replace my alternator after though. Ohh by the way love your car, Its bad ass

ive had my rs for 3 years and gone 140 about 4 times i have some friends that go 130 easily if you cant hit 140 there are 3 things to look at governor,you cant drive,or you need a rebuild. My car would barley go over 120 after the motor needed a rebuild. Now i have a new motor in break-in period but will be happy to post a clip when its ready then what are you guys gonna b.s about i know one of youll will find something.

I was doing 120-135MPH for about 85 Miles. the alternator bolts, that bolt up 2 the alternator braket worked there way lose. Pretty much wore out the inside of the ounting holes. Instead of a o shape they were oval and BIG so when the car was running the alternator would wobble and not charge anything because the pully was not spinning all the time as the belt would slip. Battery kept going dead. Replaced the alternator problem fixed

but but but doug, i swear i really was doing mach 1 in my gs-t, I also blew by the super charged nos powered unmarked cameros that cruise down i-40. They didnt even see me. muwahahhaa they are no match for my t-25 boostin 25 pounds straight. :laugh:
