Well Im about to gut my car any suggestions and help

OK i have a 95 esi talon that im about to gut out. So I can re do everything in black. Such as panels and dash board and pillars the whole nine yards. No w i have some questions to ask.
1. on the steering wheel if i sand it down smooth paint it black and clear coat it will it fade since its what u use to drive? like wiil it fade do to rubbing?
2. To remove the dash board do you have to remove the steering wheel?
3. The center peice where the shift boot is how do u take the shift boot out?
4. id the trunk of a eclipse will it fit a talon? i dont like the black peice in the talon trunk. the wing peice.

I want to tell you sumpting...
unless you are a professional painter, or getting everything painted... your gonna wish that you never tore into this project alone.
I am good with paints, etc.. and sanded and primed all my parts, painted and clear coated, and it looked like shit.
I know why people ask 2-4000 bux to paint an interior. That is, if you want your interior to be glossy like your exterior. I ended up vinyling all my stuff, and its 10 times better. Problem is, you need some experience in do so, to get it to lay right. Plus, It too is quite pricey.
If I were you..
Spend your money on engine, and other things, or your gonna end up getting pissed off @ your interior and never gonna wanna do anything to you car.

DONT PAINT THE STEERING WHEEL!!!!! the dash will come of without removing the steering wheel. go buy a steering wheel
and the trunk thing will fit

ya it will fall off

no but it aint that hard to take off.

unscrew the console(2 screws behind the HVAC/radio trim piece 2 screw under the ash tray/cupholder and 1 screw on each side in the back of the console ya hav eto twist the light sockets out and disconnect the lighter ) - unscrew the shift knob ..remove console and theres 4 screws that hold the boot-ring on underneath

thanks guys ill take the vinyl suggestion i might just paint small peices but that its ok. thanks though
