Here soon I plan to do a serious weight reduction on my 92 laser one eight. I plan to remove the passenger/backseats, get rid of spare tire, etc. what would be the heaviest thing i can remove? Any ideas on what i should i remove? I also want to know much time can be shaved off my quarter mile runs after it is all done. My engine is stock except for a k&n filter and a straight thru ractive muffler mated to an automatic tranny. i am at 18.5 (terrible, i know). What could i bring it down to?

just by expericnce on the boards here, the general concensus will be that removing weight wont reduce your times much at all. You would be better doing and minor upgrades, and at this point, tires would probably be the best way to shave off some time. Weight reduction is used for race cars that have done everything else possable to be faster.
