Weapon R installation

I did a search, and couldn't really find what I was looking for.

I have a 94 Talon ES. I bought a weapon R intake for $50 off ebay ($30 less would've gotten me the same damn thing with no sticker with it... oh well) It was made for a 1g N/T specifically, brand new, sealed box from weapon r . Anyway, I installed it with no problem, really. Except, before I put the filter on I realized that the hood wouldn't shut all the way, because the battery is in the way of the intake pipe. I can't get the pipe turned the right way so that it sits down correctly so that it clears the hood, because of the battery. It's not like I can get a smaller battery, because it's the tray that's most of the problem, anyway. Has anyone had this problem, and is there a solution, or is that $50 down the drain?

It will fit under the battery, u just have to do some serious wedging. Put the silcone coupler on the TB first. Then posistion the intake pipe under the batter and connect it to the silcone coupling on the TB last....see a pic in my gallery to see what it should look like.

Under the battery? Geez... well I'll give it a shot tommorow after work.

Sorry "under the battery" is kind of misleading. On my battery I have pos. and neg. plugs on both the top and side of the battery. I had to wedge the pipe "under" the side plugs on my battery. So you arent putting in under the actual battery, just wedging it next to it...sorry if the last post was confusing.

I see how you did it now, and I'll be giving it a try later.

One last question..... how did you conect your air sensor to your air filter?

How did you attach the bracket that came with the intake? I don't see how it's supposed to work. Also, should i remove the stack air can bracket?
