Can the 1G/GVR4 stock fuel reg work with a Walbro 190LPH plus rewire mod?

Im using a stock pump that is rewired. I'll be replacing it with a walbro 190. Should I remove the relay/rewire mod to accommodate the stock fuel reg?

My rewired 190 is making my base fp about 40-41 psi. I just tune it out with my safc. I wouldnt worry about it.

Does it maintains 1:1 pressure to boost?
Thats the important thing.

You dont have an Adj fuel reg? Just a gauge? Do you mean, by just installing the walbro 190lph plus relay mod, it reads 40psi base on the stock reg?

Yea the stock reg will still have the 1:1 ratio. The 190 does overrun just a little bit, but like 2-3 psi. I have a gauge on top of the fuel filter, it's showing about 40-41 base fp at idle with the vaccuum line on the fpr. Like I said, I dont even notice it with the safc. If you don't like how it acts with your car, you could always get an afpr.

ok, I'll give it a try. Where did you put the gauge? After the fuel reg or before?

More importantly, what is your base fuel pressure with the vacuum line OFF? That piece of information will tell you how bad the overrun is.

Ill check on that later today. It's the type of gauge that replaces that banjo bolt on top of the fuel filter under the hood, so it's before the fpr. It was a biotch tuning it with the maft though, that's why I have my safc now.

Guage shows 50-51 psi with the line off. Looking at the book, that's n/t fpr pressure. I can't remember if I took the n/t fpr I was using off or not. The one on it now is #1382.

Looks like I need to if that's the turbo fpr part number. I have wayyy too many parts in the garage.

Thats too high. It should be around 36-37psi on a 1G.
I bought the 190 because I dont want to buy an AFPR.
Just to be sure, I guess I need to remove the relay and use the stock wiring.

At another website, yes, the gauge should be before the FPR. I'll insert a T with a gauge before the rail. http://minimopar.knizefamily.net/quickfpg.html This is to make sure Im getting the right base pressure.

I know it's too high, I think it has the n/t fpr in it still. It runs about 10 more base psi.
