turbo conversion

First off sorry if this isn't in the right forum, being a noob only allows me here, but i wanted to start off by saying i have a kit in idea but i don't know if this would be a good starting kit and if it has almost everything i need. Im going to buy a new motor and build it with low compression then throw a turbo on and just drop it in. Not till late spring the least so i still have time to research more. I'm just curious if this will be a good kit to start with for low boost. About 8psi .

If you like garbage, eBay parts than that's a great kit. You have a lot of searching/reading to do before you start buying anything.

Yeah i know. You get what you pay for but this would just to get me started. Plus it's a first project as well so I'll definitely wait till i read EVERYTHING haha.

Why pay twice to do something? None of that stuff will really work. The turbo you could make work, but at 8 psi that things going to be sluggish as hell and will probably shit out like most every other eGay turbo does.

It's also hit or miss on both the wastegate and the BOV, the intercooler probably is universal so you'll be custom fabbing piping to work. It also has no injectors or form of tuning software which you're going to want, nothing for the exhaust. You have quite a bit more into it when you actually start looking.

^^+1 everything you see there will have to be replaced by actual reliable parts the only thing you could possibly get to work is the intercooler core and the drain for the turbo. ebay BOV seals leak the turbos blow ( I know from personal exsperience ) we have a turbo builder on here that you can purchase a real reliable turbo off of jusmx141. get the vrsf fmic for a decent price and DEFFINATLY a tuning device not a SAFC either theyre junk.

I have read that you Don't really need a tune for low comp. low boost 420a's.
I'll look into it though because I'm hard on my stuff to run perfectly. Haha

Wrong.

Even minor modifications on modern cars can cause problems without proper changes to the "tune" or ecu/ecm.

If your gonna go turbo with 8psi of boost you have to buy some bigger injectors and a fuel management if you try running your stock injectors the car is gonna be running like crap. If your trying to build your engine I got some use wiseco piston and eagle rods for sale that I only used for 12 miles.
