Well ive been wondering about this for a while now.. Take in consideration having all the Intake mods, and exhaust mods to allow for free flowing air to go in and come out and a 14b turbo. When switching through each gear at WOT, (Example, switching from 2nd gear at a set PSI say 15 and going into 3rd gear. The second you switch out of 2nd and go into 3rd DOES THE TURBO need time to spool back up again?? even if at 5000+ RPMS??? The reason why im asking is becuase every gear i switch into at WOT when i hit around redline area it seems my turbo needs to quickly find its way back up to its set PSI. Does anyone understand this ????? is this normal?????? im confused please help Thx:confused:

turbo loses psi between shifts, yes.

It is not so much the turbo losing psi, rather the loss of positive manifold pressure. When you upshift, the throttle snaps shut. Positive Pressure in the manifold instantly changes into negative pressure(vacuum). The pressure before the throttle is released via the blow off/Bypass valve. The turbo does slow down, but it is the loss in manifold pressure that translates into the lag you feel between shifts.

Thanks both of you thats what i thought thanks again for your input :thumb:
