Tuning / Shops in cali?

I have high hopes and great expectations for my little car, but no time to get them off the ground. Anyone know of any reputable mechanics or shops that would be interested in helping me modify my car? Most places i have been to wont even touch it beyond an oil change they say, because its been 'tampered' with, and they do not want to be held liable for any damages etc etc. I would love nothing more than to do it myself, but i dont have the time to put into the inevitable trial and error involved, and i cannot have my car out of comission due to my own devices for an extended period. (if its in a shop i can make other arrangements, but if i screw it up dicking around in my garage it may be tough to get to work)

So in summary im asking for help with any shops in so. cali that have experience/interest in making my car faster, and preferably in the LA area, but i will travel as far as i need to.

Easy Street in Burbank does work on WRX but i am sure they can easily do DSM since they are easier to work on. They could also tune it because they have a dyno. Or you can take the 5 to RRE the mecca for DSM
