Thud below driver side feet. Please Help

Today i was driving around and when i was pulling into a parking spot i felt a thud that seemed to come from right below my feet or around that area. no performance has seemed to change but it scared me because ive never felt anything like it before. It almost felt as if somebody punched the floor below the drivers feet. My girlfriend was in the passenger seat and heard the noise but didnt actually feel it. No clue what it could be since no performance has changed. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Make sure all the bolts are tight on your suspension. I had that thud happen to me about 6 months ago and it hasn't happened since.

Jack up your car and look. A lot of phenomonons happen all the time. Clanks, thuds, dings are to be expected when complex machines are at work. It's too vague for us to know what it is.

Could be as simple as the carrier bracket that holds your intermediate shaft to your engine block. If you can hear it clunk when you accelerate or decelerate then the two bolts that hold it in place may have fallen out.

It's easy to fix, just jack up the front driver's side and feel along where the axle connects to the intermediate shaft for a bracket spinning on the shaft.

I had this happen to me two days ago, was doing 40 on a gravel road though. Felt it right at my feet, just brushed it off as a rock. I'll have to check it out perhaps.

I didnt run anything over hahah. But i only felt it that one time i havent felt it since so its hard to pinpoint what it was. I was also driving on a gravel road the other day but i dont think theres any way this could have been a stone it was a pretty strong thud. I bought this car maybe 4 months ago and the clutch felt really tight compaired to my gsr civic. Now i dont know if im just getting used to the new clutch but to me it feels a little less tight.

I was also in a similar situation once. I was getting on the highway coming down the ramp when I heard a giant clank. I looked over to the girl in the car to see if she noticed anything. She looked pretty normal like she didn't hear anything so I thought I was hearing things. Later on I asked her if she heard something on the drive back and she's like yeah I think you ran over something. Hasn't bothered me since. This is coming from a guy who ran over a rock the size of a soccor ball.

Check your driver side ball joints on the lower control arms [the straight and S-Curved arms]

I caught a squirrel with my muffler, the vibration traveled up my exhaust and made it sound like I hit it with my footwell.

Are you AWD? Check the driver's side axle bearing carrier bolts.
