Now, I was thinking today- I need to have a new piece of sheet tacked onto my roof due to my stupid hoods disrespect.

Does anyone think that if I were to go and say, hack off the entire roof section off of another junk DSM would they be able to pull the sheet off of that car and tack it onto my car? As a way to kind of, prevent them from having to custom form a new piece of sheet to my car?

you mean like a cut and paste the entire roof section?

i would guess it would work, just make sure all the welds are hella good cause that roof is there for a reason. then grind the welds down flat and paint. sounds like a do-able task.

I'm not talking about the whole roof section- just the shell- the sheet metal on top, the skin so to speak. The framing\skeleton of my roof is fine- just the actual sheet metal on top is all screwed up and looking like crinckled up paper

yes it is possible. when im done parting out a car, i usually cut the skin off the roof for reasons like your problem, in case anyone ever needs the peice.
