My 1996 eagle talon needs some paint in a few spots. It does have some rust on the roof and some little spots here and there. Also inside the hatch is rusted in the inside due to water sitting in the hatch. Not sure how to fix that since its starting to go through. But im thinking about painting the whole car. I rattle caned the front bumper then rattled can a clear coat on it and it actually looked pretty good. (White paint) My car is panda color, black top with white bottom. Im thinking about rattle canning it or maybe bed liner? I would like some advice on this issue! I don't know what to do. Also I need some help on how to fix rust spots and the rear hatch rust -_-

Also would it look right to not have side skirts on the car? It has the twisty ones right now on

The hatch would need to be replaced. If it is rusting through that is the best thing to do. In the other little spots you might be able to get away with sand blasting them and using a little glaze in that area to make sure it is nice and smooth. As far as painting, do NOT bed line it, that looks like shit. Some people can make a rattle can job look presentable, but i don't recommend that either. I would get a real paint gun and do it the right way, or have it professionally done.

The skirts look fine on the car. You should keep them. But if you don't want them you can sell them to me. :sneaky:

That's pretty much exactly what I would have said. I agree 100% :thumb:

Properly remove the rust and fill. Apply a nice etch primer and use rustoleum or tremclad to protect.

Plastidip the car.

/ghetto.

I would not use spray paint or bed liner. If you want it to last get some decent paint. dupont makes a lower line called nason that works really well, has long hold out and is fairly cheap. As far as rust replace hatch and you can sand the surface rust by hand. But if you really want it to look right take it to someone who has experience.

Get it done right or do it right yourself when talking painting a car that has rust as you can only do so much once it starts imo id go for it if you are planning on doing it how it should be done brother. later.
