I have a 90 tsi awd with a really strong motor that buschurs just got done fixing.....Anyways after the guy told me one price and it was actually another, I wasnt happy. He went over my entire car and told me to basically buy a new one. Apparently my cv shafts are shot, all suspension bushings are shot, I have 2 bent rims, 2 tires down to the belts (opps!), my diagnostic port is melted, hatch struts are shot, one of the blinker wires is melted completely, and he said the @$$ end of the car has been hit.

So I figured it would just be easier to buy this 93 gsx. Now, what I wanted to know was will the will my 91 ecu with a chip swap into the 93? And Would I have any promlems just droppig my engine into it? I know a few things are going to be a pain like moving all my gauges over and rewiring them, putting my battery into its new trunk, and other misc things like that.

Do you guys think its a good idea I still owe buschur $1300 so I can get my car back. The 93 gsx is $900 it has a few engine problems but I could care less. On my car I know I need new tires, the gsx has newer tires and the body is excellent so is the interior.

Wow dejavu, That was the same story I had with my car. Seemed like everything was falling apart. Then I blew my hg. I found a real cheap donor car 1990 rs n/t for $300 well taken care of but the guy couldnt get it to pass emissions. I took everything out of my turbo r/s and put it into this new body. I am waiting on the tranny to get out of the shop to see if it really is going to pay off. My car of course had a salvaged title and was in really bad shape. So for me doing the swap is really going to pay off. Shocks on the rear hatch are only $30 with suspension, new tires, and some used rims it may be cheaper just to fix your car. Rather than spending $1300 to get it out of the shop then another $900 for the doner car. Your already up to $2200.00. For me I was out $300 bucks for the car. and I had to tear down the motor anyway. Just somthing to think about.

its kinda wrong to say this. But, its nice to see someone in the same boat as me.... could I make my money back plus some off this 93 if I just kept my car and swapped out cv shafts and the wheels/tires and parted the car out? The head, block, panels, and other things.... I know I bought a lot of parts off ebay for my car and form mitsu graveyard.
