hey what's up guys? I have a GS-t lying around in my junkyard, and i drive a GS. I was wondering what would be easier? Swapping in the GS-t engine or just dropping a turbo kit into my GS? Thanks in advance.

Dropping a 4g63 into a 420a is a lot of work. Eveything needs to be changed. If you want to turbo your 420a take the turbo off the gst and sell the motor and tranny on ebay for some cash to build a turbo kit with the 16g from the gst.

Hey bro, well your kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place. First off, swapping the GS-T engine will be like swapping any engine. They cost a good amount of money and time. You'll probably have to either swap in the GS-T tranny as well. But, if you were to turbo your car it would only bring it up to, if not lower than a stock GS-T's performance stats. Also, turbo'ing a 420A will put a lot of stress on that engine. 4G63's are turbo for a reason, they can handle the stress of a turbo. And a 420A is non turbo for a reason also. i suggest saving up enough money to purchase a GS-T/GSX. It will be easier to mod and more worth-while.
-Feel free to anything i forgot. Hope this helped, later :thumb:

If you buy a turbo kit or make one yourself and build the bottom end of the 420a... you will not have spent as much money as doing the engine swap and you will have an assload more power.

Definitely keep your GS, and you'll be happy with your turbo 420a in the end :thumb:

If you do decide that you just gotta have the 4g...the engine swap would definitely be taking the long road down time and money lane :p

If I were you I would just boost the 420a. It is going to cost you a hell of a lot more money to even try the swap, and I think you will end up just giving up before you ever get it finished like most people do, then it would for you to just buy a turbo kit from Hahn.

There you have several situations laid out for you. Sell it buy a GS-T/GSX, piece together a turbo kit or buy one from Hahn. Everyone has their own reasonings. YOU have to be the one to make up your mind and not some guy who thinks his way is the right way. Use your judgment. Topic closed. Discussed WAY too many times.
