Hey guys, I was talking with a buddy of mine earlier today and he gave me a couple ideas and I had some questions.

1. He said he thinks that some IC pipe kits are interchangable from sm to fm. Has anyone heard of this? He mentioned Greedy but I'm not up on turbo talk yet.

2. Also what turbo back system do you all recommend for a deep, "little louder than stock" sound and that will go with my t-25. And what other turbos fit this downpipe setup?

3. Will a gsx turbo back fit on a gst spyder? (reason:awd in future)

1. I'm guessing your saying side mount intercooler pipes will somehow connect to a front mount? No.

2. Most people like the Apex'i N1.

3. No

If you buy an upper intercooler pipe now it may be able to be used later on when you upgrade to a FMIC. It depends on the FMIC kit and how it's pipes are routed.

Any turbo back worth it's money is going to be more than a little louder than stock. You want more flow, you make more noise, the end. What are your goals for the car? If you don't ever plan on going too crazy then you may get away with a cat and a resonator, that will quiet it down a lot.

I don't really see a reason why a GSX turboback wouldn't fit on a FWD. Instead of fitting up under the car in the tunnel it will run alongside of it.

My suggestion on Exhaust would be do it yourself. If not then just have an exhaust shop do it for you and tell them exactly how you want it done. All mandrel bends and welding and piping from an exhaust shop only cost me $90 and my Magnaflow Muffler(pretty loud I guess, thats what people tell me but its real deep) only cost me $105. Then you got my DP flange from RRE and my Flex Section from ebay. Total it all cost me about $250 and I love it. Why go pay upwards of 400-500 for something when you can do it for half that.

But then again thats just my opinion.

Don't forget about the gas tank location and the rear axle. GS-T exhaust will hit the axle of the GSX, GSX exhaust will hit the gas tank of the GS-T.

i agree! :thumb:

as far as exhuast, have a shop custom make you one. i have a complete 3" from the cat back, with a test pipe and an obx muffler i got off ebay and i paid under $200 bucks for everything. my car sounds exactly like my buddies gst with an apexi n1 cat back and test pipe that he paid 600 for..... :thumb:
