Long story short my stock fans dont turn on when they're supposed to (I'm thinking it might be a wiring issue because i'm running an evo 8 ecu) so i opted out to bypass the whole stock wiring and went with a dual spal relay kit and thermo switch. I'll be drilling and taping the thermoswitch in the the bottom of my radiator (hot side) which will be activating my spal fans at 195 degrees and turning them off at 175. I get the whole wiring diagram (Red wire goes to fan, Black wire goes to a ground, Grey wire goes to the thermo switch, Yellow wire goes to battery +, orange wire goes to ignition). Now my only question is where would be a good 12vdc ignition source when the engine is on the run position to tap into. I want to make this install as clean as possible so I'm looking for some guidance here from any wiring guru. Thanks a lot, cheers mate.

Can't you program the Evo 8 Ecu to tell the fans when to kick like you could on the link?

I would assume so, but that something my tuner would have to do as i do not have the cable to access the ecu options. Anyways my stock fans suck.... so im replacing them anyways. I just need a good 12vdc ignition source to tap into

Good to know. I rather not go that route though since i already have everything i need to setup my Spals. Just looking for recommendation for a good 12vdc ignition source to tap into
