Some qustions about 95-99 eclispe...

Hi guys!
I'm new in this forum.Excuse me for bothering you with some stupid questions but I need to know a few things before I buy myself an eclipse
I was looking for 95-99 model and I've found out that there are 2 models of the car.The difference that I have found was in the head lights.../If there is some more please let me know/
Basicly I wanna build a car with body kit similar to that one used in the Fast and Furious movie.I've found the body kit in ebay,found the rims and stuff but when I started to search for the car itself I saw that some of the cars have stock side skirts and others have not.I'm interested to find out what problems may I encounter puttin' the side skirts from the body kit on the car.
Also if I get earlyer model do I have to change only the head lights or I have to buy new fenders and hood?
Well guys I have a bunch of stupid questions.I hope that I will not bore somebody with that.Please let me know as much as you can about the eclipses because I wanna buy one and make it a nice and a fast ride.
I wanna know more but when you start to post here I will keep posting questions to gather the info that I need.

well if you wantta build the one from f and f it's a 95 eclipse. plus it had a 420A motor with a turbo upgrade. the side skirts i haven't found really much too install of them. if the eclipse you get has them it should be easier to install cause the holes and everything are there. the next question you might wantta ask yourself is do you want the skirts to be just bolted on or fibered into the body to make it look as one peice. and the kit you are talking about is a blitz kit. if you are gonna go blitz they have urathane kits which are much stronger then the fiber glass and won't crack. plus what you will be getting into will not be a cheap road. if you gonna do it, do it right the first time. anything else i can help ya with let me know.

Yeah I know that the eclipse is 95 but I think that headlights are 97 and up...

The other thing is that I'm not sure about the bolt pattern...as long as I know it is 114,3 5 lugs.But where can I buy them and for how much....I will be puttin' EXCEL 18"-that's for sure.
I will get the pics of the car with side skirts and the one without em' and I'll show em' to you.
The thing that I wanna know is do I have to switch something more than the headlights if I buy 95-96 model.
The other thing is that I've found 98 GST but with auto transmission and I think that this is not good.
Well I have more questions but maybe will be better to use ICQ / 265115708 / or some other kind of comunication...MSN yahoo or something

The diffrence between a 95-96 and a 97-99 are the headlights and bumpers. (some interior colors)

On the 95-96 the head light units will not lign up correctly if your trying to use the projector headlights.

The 97-99 have the projectors that can be bought after market for the car.


So if you bought a 95-96 car and wanted to use the 97^ aftermarket headlights you would have to order the 97-99 front blitz bumper in order to use thoses lights and not leave a gap. There was a post long ago on this but couldnt find the picture of what it looks like with a 95-96 bumper with 97^ lights.

I have found that they do make projectors for the 95 and 96 models. I just ordered some headlights for my 95 talon doing the 97 eclipse conversion(so I got 97 projectors). I ordered them from symmic but off of ebay. here is the symmic webpage but I would check ebay since you get the same stuff but cheaper, Symmic.com . I hope this helps ya out and I wish you luck on making it look like you want.

that is almost what it looked like. not slammed low enough and has the 4g63 not the 420A. and he wants 3k with the motor knocking and the front end all messed up. ohh well.

yea that's what i'm talking about. you off to a good start . urethane is the best way to go.

About the body kit...who can do the paint job and the mounting /in Irvine CA/ and most important is if I found one who can do it what price should I pay ???
I'm not originaly from USA so I'm not much into those kind of things there...
