SD guys are always invited, but I usually dont post on SD DSM cause half of those guys dont have DSM's anymore, the 47.6% of the remainder are all rude, then the 2.4% that reply intelligently actually go. But you are more than welcome to join us!

If i dont get my new rims and tires (gonna pick up some EVO8 17x8, powdercoat them black, and wrap some 245/40 on them ) by then i wont go. My tires are too bald to be crusin long distance. Ask Al or Andy about my semi-slick tires .

yea, todd and al usually meet with beau and ari coming from up north..hit them up and since dan is being a big wuss about making the drive down, TIRES BOO HOO....my driver side rear has 3 nails in it...

Got the GSX back from having a new thermo tossed in, along with other miscellaneous crap that I didn't have time to deal with myself. Took it for a test run. Within five miles, it blew the heater hose and dropped all of the coolant... I won't be surprised if I'm going to be in the market for a new longblock shortly, but I'll find out today if it'll even turn over, with a new hose and more water.

Mechanic's pretty sure that the headgasket at least is blown, but we won't know for sure until the hose is on, and can watch the radiator for bubbling after enough coolant is added to get the pockets out of the lines.

So looks like I'm leaning more toward the 'unable to make it yet again' category, for the moment. :b

Fortunately for me, i'm doing a fully built 6-bolt block swap, with a new turbo. Unfortunately, I won't be able to make it out Rob (I doubt it'll be done by then). Sorry.

dude, I was at Super Auto's, (if you even wanna call that a meet), was at hooters a few times, and the last one I was at was MOD... . Give me a call man, I wanna set up something a little special for the DSM guys. Dont' wanna mention it here and give it away.

I'm niticing a lack of enthusiasm for meets as of lately. I can only wonder why this so and hope that someone will enlighten me in the situation. If its becaause of the recent bad luck with poorly planned meets then please blive that this was planned by rob and my self and we will at the very least show up. Well just had to get that off my chest hope to see you there if you decide to show up and if not then maybe next time.

I have a feeling its because of the lack of "advertising" for the meet. I went ahead and posted this meet in the DSMtuners calendar, but no one ever checks there. I bet the problem is that no one is looking often enough in the South West forum. Its summer, people are busy doing stuff, theyre gone, or working, or having fun. They probably forget to check the regional forum. We need a better way to advertise this meet. I wish we could send an automated PM to all people in the area, or maybe all people that attended previous meets. That way as soon as the log on to DSMtuners they see the link.

yo mike i was thinking the same thing man.. some people not mentioning names but they go just to do such a thing. the meets were straight but it starts to take a turn you know. it will start to get to the point where its an invite type deal only through private messages. ill be back on the scene soon man...

Seriously though, this one i cannot make it. It is my sisters bday that weekend so umm yeah. Then to add on to what i said before, not trying to sound negative but If you look back on previous meet threads its been alot of back and forth. Like for example, "we hold the better meets" and crap like that. When someone else tried to put a meet together (mikie) and he couldn't make it, it was a legitimate reason for him not to show. Am I alone on this on?? Its kinda hard to explain now that I think about it. I think Gary kinda knows where I'm coming from. If not then nevermind, I will just keep this to myself.

I didn't really notice that at the meets. Of course I was mainly only with a few people the whole time through at MOD. I don't really feel that way when people tell me what they have on their car though, I just get the notion that they're just really proud of the work/parts they have, which is what I thought a meet was all about. I know I got a lot of my ideas for my mods from the last few meets. I might not be dealing with the same people as you guys.

I know I"M not......I've always setup up meets for people to ENJOY not to worry about being NT or having an all primered body or being BONE stock...who cares...we are the for one reason, our hobby. Whoever thinks they are better than everyone else, suck donkey dick you arent. Yes Mikey and Roberts meet didnt go as planned, we still had fun so who gives a damn shit....
