Dont worry about my spelling people, Only one guy had something good to say and that was pnishr. I understand where you are coming from but I've seen a skyline in New Jersey at EnglishTown, a R33 to be exact, he did 14 seconds, When I had a word with him asking him what was wrong, he explained to me that he had to change a view parts on his car in-order for it to be streetable in the US and to pass when he carried it to get it inspected by officials making sure it complied with all the US restrictions.
One person said he wanted to see some vids, go to youtube like I said, you'll be amazed to see these people cars and the kind of power they drive around on an everyday basis.

Learn how to spell and if there are so many vids then why don't you post a link to some then... :|

To dieseltech, I guess New Jersey has that restriction. They need to be like your state where we could import these cars.
To clipsit, dont worry about my spelling, the time you took to type that sentence you could of simply went to youtube and found the vids yourself.

That's nice......but you are still talking out your butt and not RESPECTING the sites rules! I am not going to waste my time w/ you, but maybe that means something to you......NO...? When you come in here talking about and being overdramatic about maybe some cool cars where you used to live, that's all fine, but don't talk all like you are mister big shot, b/c no one cares and its not what the thread is about and thats all! You obviously dont know crap about anything, but maybe you do...so keep it to yourself and don't polute the thread, b/c I am sure you wouldn't want anyone doing the same to yours...just my 2 cents and IMHO......have fun telling more stories though...:thumb:

The 2 fast 2 furious skyline is here in Spokane, Wa. Some rich kid bought it. He's never taken it to the track, but I'm hopeing he will this year. I would love to get a video of me owning that kid in his skyline...

A stock GTST only has around 220hp any ways, so a DSM with a half decent driver SHOULD stand a chance. Event the GTR which is twin turbo,AWD, and has around 287HP is nothing super special, Its fast but stock its just not great. In its stock form the cars (especially the GTR) have lots of fancy electronics (as pnisher stated) which really make the cars some thing. Another thing is the Skylines (specifically the GTR) are undertuned from factory, this is why they love mods. A simple exhaust and intake will put you upto like 350hp.
It doesnt matter what country your in a stock skyline (GTST) could lose to a DSM.
DSM VS stock GTR.. GTR will win.

I live in Canada and up here Skylines are legal to drive. They used to be rare, and now they're all over the damn place. And they are NOT de-tuned. By any means. They have to pass a Canadian inspection( Day time running lights and seat belts) then Provincial( make sure the car is street legal) The only Skylines that are fast are the GTR's. GTST's and the likes are just as fast as DSM's. Granted people do modify Skylines here, sub 12 seconds skylines are rare.

my .02cents

The trend should definitely slow, there not going to allow the importation of used cars for much longer

Ok, I just happened to be reading this old thread and noticed this post. This isn't true, a lady named Susan Gregory here in Johnson City, TN has the original skyline that was in 2 fast 2 furious. She bought directly from Mr. Liberman, it was on display at Ride Revolution until it closed down last year. She still has the car and it doesn't run at all. It is possible that the guy he is talking about bought one of the replicas that were made for the movie.

This is what I get for being bored at work....reading old threads finding stuff like this.

That might be possable. I don't know the shop owner who bought the car last year, but It's sitting on his showroom, I'v only heard the stories its the one from the movie... Either way, I'd still love getting a video of me owing his ass..

More than likely, you are both correct. There really is no "original" Skyline from 2 Fast 2 Furious as a number of Skylines were used during filming. Braedon, not sure what you mean by "replicas" but like I said Universal Studios purchased a handful of genuine Skylines to use in the movie. Its quite possible both people you are thinking of own one of the Skylines used for filming.

Sport Compact Car drove the 2 Fast 2 Furious movie cars back in 2002. You can read a review of their 2F2F Skyline GTR test drive here. BTW, notice in the beginning of the 2nd paragraph they say Skylines used in filming.

hahah... I raced a stock R32 GTR when I was stock. It was when MotoRx first brought the skylines out here. I am lucky enough to live next to the company so I seen the guy driving around and he actually asked me to run. Needless to say I was embarrassedWTF

Good kill though

Nice. My buddy paul just sold his R32 and picked up a silvia s15.. His R32 was dynod at 546whp but my buddy has a 95 gst with a 50 trim and he could keep up with him on the freeway..

Anyways nice kill any footage of it by chance?
