Hey guys,
I bought my car about a good 2-3 months ago and have learned alot about my car.
Ive replaced just about everything except a new motor and new transmission.

Here is my problem.

For some reason, I have to use alot of strength to get it into any gear. Its kind of Knotchy.
It gets to half way into gear, gets stuck, then use force, then pops in.

Anyone??

Also, after letting her cool down for about a good overnight, and i start her up to drive.
It grinds alot. Just first and second. Put it in second when i first start up, no grind, put it in first, grind. Then when I go to shift into second, it grinds.

Anyone?

When Im racing someone, after the launch when I go to put it into second, its REALLY tough to put in. I have to now use bodyweight to get it in at a high RPM.

Anyone?

Thanks for your time

id put money on the previous owner using standard tranny fluid, it makes it very hard to put into gear until its heated up and will grind like a sonuva bi*** if your syncros are half gone. go to gm dealer and buy some gm synromesh, 3 quarts is about 30 bux, it takes 2.5 and replace your tranny fluid, ill bet it will make a huge difference.
