Alright I have a 90 awd with megan racing coilovers and today for some reason I decided to measure ride height. Well needless to say I came up with a couple different numbers so I know I need to adjust them but my question is, do I want the front n rear ride height/wheel gap to be the same from front n back or do I want the rear a little higher? Any help is appreciated just want to know what is best to do thanks guys

I have the same coilovers and I have my rears set about an inch higher then the front. Just make sure you measure them correctly from the top of the coil plate to the bottom collar when its fully tightened.

If your for looks then gap is how you'd measure it. It's really personal preference. Performance you'll want some scales so you can corner weigh it.

Depends on how you drive. I have the back of mine set 1/2" higher so it doesn't squat as much when I take off hard from a stop. I'm sure it should be a little more for a true launch and I plan on raising it at least another 1/2" before I go to the track.

Ideally I would corner weight mine, but I only autoX about twice per year.

I have no way to corner balance or how I would even go about adjusting them that way so Im just gunna adjust by wheel gap and have the rear an inch higher then front

well now that I got this figured out I was wondering about spring rates. What is the best combo for DD awd? I want to see if I should order different springs and see if that also helps me get the best ride I can out of what I got. THanks

I've got 500 front and 375 rear springs and I like them so far. 400 in the rear might have been a better match, but it really launches a lot better now and the front doesn't lift near as bad as it used to!

I think I found my problem. From what Ive found the meagan coilovers come with 12kg front springs and rears are 10kg. If im not mistaking, the rears are too high of a rating correct? If so what kg springs do I want to look for? Thanks guys

come on guys Im trying to get my car to ride better. Im sick of it being bouncy and feeling like Im coming off the seat and going to hit my head of roof. Do I need new springs? Do I need to adjust it softer or stiffer? Should I check the preload? Any help is greatly appreciated I just want a better riding car without having to spend money on a different setup. Thanks guys

Indont know of any spring weighed in KG, since 10KG is only like what, 22 lbs? I dont see how that would benefit since good springs are in the hundreds of pounds of spring pressure.

If it's riding like ass your struts are probably garbage.

What? 12kg/mm springs equal to about 672 lbs/in. 10kg/mm springs equate to 560 lbs/in. The rear is a little stiff. I would step it down to 350-450lb/in which is like 6.5kg/mm to 8kg/mm Also if it's bouncy, try increasing the dampening of the shock.

Alright Ill look into getting some different rear springs. Ive had the dampening turned the whole way up and Ive been moving it around trying to make it better but doesnt seem like it really changes so Im thinking its the rear springs since they are so stiff. Thanks guys

Sorry if i dont speak metric and there was no mention of kg per mm. Anyway like insaid anything over 400lbs spring will need custom shock valving so i hear thats why i went 350 rear

The whole car is metric. And the springs certainly don't weigh 12k lbs.
.!.:D.!.
