Okay so...I don't know if it's because everything was like frozen in my car this morning due to it being like 10 degrees outside, but shit keeps breaking I leaned back in my seat this morning while my car was warming up and something snapped and by seat fell all the way back into the back seat and scared the shit out of me. I know that it's probably something dumb I can replace for 20 bucks BUT I'm wondering since I'll be down there if there's any cheap type of seats that I could just swap in, mine are stained anyways. I checked Ebay and didn't see any nice ones or brands I've heard of so I was just wondering if anyone has ever tried out an Ebay seat and what happened or if any of you have some extra seats laying around you wanna sell me.

Did the seat itself break, or the bracket that the seat is attached to the floor? Ultimately either way here's my reccomendation:
Go to a salvage yard and get a set of replacement seats (with the brackets-they're easy to just unbolt from a car).
Aftermarket seats require aftermarket brackets-or fabrication. This is 'doable' but can be expensive if you're buying and takes some time if you're fab'ing.
My leather seats were nasty when I got the car so I went to the local salvage place which had like 10 eclipses/talons in various states and pulled a nice clean set of manual cloth seats out for like $100.00 for both front and back.

the SAME thing happened to me last winter. I was in my car witing for the car to warm up then I hear a snap and the seat is leaning back... It had a "gangster lean" to it.. i knew some thing was up but coudlnt do any thing about it at that time (going to school).
So then after lunch go back and SNAP the welds snapped that hold the back part of the seat to the bottom (on the recliner switch thing).

I opened up the covers and saw that it happened right at the welld. You could either re weld (i didnt as i cant weld) or just get a new seat. I bought a cheap sparco seat because i needed some thing very soon.

Haha, cheap and sparco seat don't belong in the same sentence. I wouldn't go too cheap on seats, go for a decent brand or just a stock replacement.

I haven't really gone out to check yet, it's been like 16 degrees here for quite sometime and I don't really feel like going out and examining plus I got hit by a car a couple days ago and am pretty sore, I think though rather than messing with all that I'm just going to get OEM seats, I kinda want leather though, that'd be awesome. black leather. Is there a site you can order OEM parts?

Dont get tenzo-r. They fade so fast! Get some custom made, thats what I did because I dont want what everyone else has =)

Also, if you want leather and for a pretty decent price they have some on ebay that are like the racing seats that look pretty sweet.
